Solarize NoVA Program
One in Ten solar arrays in Region from 2014 to 2021 are a Result of Solarize NoVA Program
Pleased to share information regarding our Solarize program at NVRC with our local government partners, the Local Energy Alliance Program and local solar installers. While the numbers from our 2023 campaign are being crunched (contracts are still being signed) the program has been a great success.
1. From 2014 to 2021 9.4% of all new arrays in Northern Virginia were the result of this program. That is nearly 1 in 10 arrays during this time period are the result of this program.
2. The program through 2022 has resulted in 690 contracts for 6.2 MW of solar with a private sector investment of nearly $18 million.
3. The arrays produce enough renewable energy to offset 6,220 tons of CO2 on an annual basis.
We encourage folks to visit our Energy website at www.nvrcenergy.org for information on a wide variety of energy efficiency programs and other incentives to help reduce your energy use.
